3 Yoga Poses to Awaken Your Intuition and Inner Vision - Third Eye Chakra

What is the THIRD-EYE CHAKRA TEMPLE?:

The sixth chakra is located in the center of the head, center of the eyebrows, connected to the pineal gland. Ajna is the Sanskrit name meaning, beyond wisdom. It signifies the unconscious mind, the direct link to Brahman (ultimate reality). Its essence is of intuition, self-realization, inspiration and knowing. The third eye chakra is our center of mystical intuition, Divine wisdom and inner insight. When your third eye chakra is open and balanced, you feel connected to your higher self and one with the universe. You are able to trust your own intuition and inner knowing with ease and grace. When this energy center flows inner trust of your purpose and the path you walk is taking you to exactly where you are meant to be. There is no second guessing when Ajna is in alignment, you are in the flow of life. Within this flow of life you connect to  a deep understanding that not everything appears to be.  Meaning appearances aren’t everything, so you are able tap into your beyond wisdom to see beyond the surface to unveil the truth of your inner and outer world. The offering of this chakra allows us to see and understand the inner and outer worlds in ways that are known from an unconscious level, a deep inner knowing you trust.

Intuition and Inner Vision:

Ajna a two petal flower shaped as a moonbeam. This Chakra temple of insight, guidance, and wisdom connects us to know what we already know, and be who we already are. It also taps us into insight past the ego structure. This inner sight connects us to access higher states of consciousness and intuition. Through this freedom, lifting the veil revealing the inner dimension and reality of our being. Gifting us the opportunity to connect with our highest self, true essence and source energy. Meditation is the goal of Yoga afterall. Therefore, quieting, stillness, and harmonizing of the mind is a priority when it comes to awakening the flow of the Third-Eye Chakra. In ancient Egyptian mythology, the Eye of Horus was a symbol of protection and wisdom that was associated with the third eye- pineal gland.

Ajna when open and balanced connects us to the present moment and can deepen spiritual connection as well as provide wisdom and insight.

Yoga’s Inner Vision Wisdom:

Yoga is a practice that draws you into the present moment as your breath guides you inwards. The third eye heightens our spiritual awareness of movement and change, through asanas (yoga poses) movement brings change to our mind, body, and spirit. This energy center is our deep understanding and inner knowing that there is a time for endings as well as beginnings. A Yoga practice supports our bodies during this process to ease into change as we carry our emotions within the body not only mentally, yet physically as well. It is having the ability to release old thought patterns and embrace the new through moment, breath, and meditation. Here are a few Yoga poses that support your Third-Eye Chakra:

Air Christie, RYT 500

Yoga is not work to me, it is my passionate practice, & I share this embodiment of my authentic self by guiding classes with intention & heart. I have spent many years of self study & practice to find my path to teaching yoga. This journey continues on as my heart stays open to walking a yogic life. I graduated with my 500-hour yoga teacher certification from Zuna Yoga, in Bali Indonesia where I spent over 2 months devoting my life to learn how to guide students through yoga practice in an intensive, immersive training program that awoke the teacher within. I have been guiding students since June 2019. I have also obtained certifications in Buti & Hot Buti Yoga, with Veterans Yoga Project, WAE, Somatic Yoga, & The Resilient Heart™ Trauma-Sensitive HeartMath®. Opening my soul to future trainings, as I’m excited to further expand in my practice & knowledge through training, & share wisdom learned through yoga practice with students.

I’m excited to meet you on the mat and be on this empowering journey with you. Honored to be your guide to your own inner journey with yoga. I teach yoga to share the tools to self-care & self-love with mind-body connection through the practices of movement, breath, & meditation. Yoga teaches us to honor our true authentic selves & accept where we are in the moment. Each day on the mat is a new experience & opportunity to challenge the body as well as nurture it.

I strive to be a clear & compassionate guide by creating a nonjudgmental environment that encourages students to feel safe, confident, & accepted. I show up as my best self to give precise & effective cues to safely get into poses while maintaining the most important part, Prana! In classes I encourage students to let go of competitiveness, judgments, & distracting thoughts, as they breathe and move mindfully…one breath-one movement. Cultivating the wisdom of yoga as a tool to journey into the intelligence of the body, by tuning into the breath & intention of each pose, in the present moment. While always inviting students to honor & listen to their bodies. There is no need to force ourselves into shapes that are not right for us, everybody is different. In yoga we cultivate kindness to ourselves & honesty about what we need in the moment. Being open to honor & trust our flow as we share energy in the space of the studio room.

May you have peace in the mind.
Strength in the body.
And love within your heart.
Namaste
